How to Set Pixel Type on a Madrix Nebula
The Madrix Nebula is a high-performance LED pixel controller that offers incredible flexibility for your lighting installations.
To ensure your hardware is communicating correctly with your LED strips, you must configure the correct pixel protocol. Here is a simple, step-by-step guide to setting up your pixel types using the Nebula’s web-based interface.
Step 1: Access the Web Configuration Interface
There are two primary ways to reach the configuration settings for your Madrix Nebula:
Via Madrix Hardware Manager: Open the Madrix Hardware Manager on your computer, right-click on your device in the list, and select "Open Device Configuration by HTTP".
Via IP Address: If you know your device's IP address, you can simply type it into the address bar of any web browser to access the interface directly.
Step 2: Select Your Pixel Protocol
Once the web configuration page has loaded:
Scroll down to the SPI Output Configuration section.
Click on the dropdown menu for the protocol selection.
Choose the protocol that matches your specific LED hardware.
Step 3: Utilize Dual Protocol Support
A standout feature of the Madrix Nebula is its versatility. It can run two different protocols at the same time—one out of each port. This allows you to control two different types of LED pixels from a single Nebula device, providing immense flexibility for complex setups.
Step 4: Save Your Configuration
After selecting your desired protocols for each port:
Make sure to click the Set button to apply and save your changes. Once clicked, your configuration is officially set.
