How We Elevate Your Space

Our experience across fitness, commercial, entertainment and architectural projects means we know how to design lighting that genuinely enhances a workout space. From flexible white lighting for functional areas to high-impact, immersive effects for Spin and HIIT studios, we build systems that support every type of training.

We also offer specialist quick-install lighting kits, enabling contractors and fit-out teams to install our solutions quickly and with minimal risk of error. With a consultancy-led approach, we help you choose the right gym lighting for your budget, providing clear technical guidance, efficient wiring strategies and intuitive control options for effortless operation.

Considerations for Selecting Gym Lighting

When selecting gym lighting, prioritize fixtures that deliver at least 750-1,100 lumens per square metre to ensure optimal visibility for workouts, reducing shadows and enhancing safety during high-traffic exercises like group classes or free-weight sessions.

For a standard 465-square-metre commercial gym, this translates to a total output of approximately 350,000-500,000 lumens, best achieved with daylight-balanced LEDs at 5000K-6500K colour temperature and a Colour Rendering Index (CRI) of 80 or higher to accurately display skin tones and equipment details.

Avoid overly warm lights (below 4000K), as they can create a dim, unenergizing atmosphere; instead, opt for dimmable, scalable options like high-bay UFO LEDs or linear troffer panels from brands like PrimeLights or Lithonia, which allow customisation for different zones, brighter over cardio machines, and softer near mirrors or reception areas to minimise glare.

This setup not only boosts member performance and satisfaction but also transforms your facility into a motivating, professional-grade environment that encourages retention and positive reviews.

FAQs

What is the difference between programming and commissioning?

Commissioning involves configuring and testing all hardware and luminaires to ensure everything is functioning correctly and ready for control. Programming then follows, creating the lighting scenes, moods, effects, and schedules that define how the system operates day to day.

What geographical areas do you work in?

We provide commissioning and programming services all over the world, supporting both on-site projects and remote system setups.

Will you take over existing or ongoing projects?

Yes, while it’s always best to involve us from the start, we’re often brought in to take over incomplete or problematic projects. Our engineers can assess the current setup, identify faults, and bring systems up to standard before completing the commissioning and programming stages.

What sort of clients use this service?

Our commissioning and programming expertise is trusted by a wide range of professionals, including lighting designers, architects, suppliers, electrical contractors, signage specialists, shop fit-out teams, and event companies. We work collaboratively with each to ensure every project achieves its full potential.
