Back in 2022, we delivered a quick-turnaround LED install at Blackburn Leisure Centre, transforming two fitness rooms with clean, reliable RGBW lighting.
We framed the mirrored walls in both the main gym and training studio, creating a bright, defined look that’s practical for everyday use. The result was a low-maintenance lighting solution with wireless control, designed for clarity, not clutter
Project Overview
The install covered two areas:
- Main gym with RGBW framing around each mirror
- Studio space with a continuous 12-metre run above a mirrored wall
Both systems were powered and controlled using our prebuilt RF LED control boxes, housed in compact enclosures for a neat finish. These control boxes are built just like our DMX enclosures, but configured with RF rather than DMX, Art-Net or sACN.
Everything was installed and commissioned in just one day, keeping disruption to a minimum.
Main Gym Area
In the gym, we installed RGBW LED along three sides of each mirrored section. This provides strong visual edges for workouts and creates a clean, modern atmosphere.

- Custom RF LED Control boxes
- Three-sided aluminium profile with diffuser for a seamless finish
Multi-Function Training Studio
Next door, the training studio used the same RGBW LED setup, this time a single 12-metre run was installed along the top edge of a mirrored wall. While the hardware matched the gym, the layout differed: the lighting served to enhance visibility across the space while keeping the wall surfaces clear. The result was a crisp, functional finish.

- Meanwell Power Supplies
- Extra-wide 35mm aluminium profile and diffuser
- Integrated into the same custom wireless rf control boxes
Despite the length of the run, the install remained clean and flicker-free with correct voltage management and high-efficiency drivers.
Ongoing Support and Maintenance
As with all of our installs, this system isn’t just built and left behind. We continue to provide ongoing maintenance and servicing for the leisure centre, ensuring the lighting performs reliably over time.
Our team is available for routine check-ins, fault resolution, and system updates, whether that’s replacing worn parts or reprogramming control boxes to suit evolving needs. This long-term support gives clients peace of mind and keeps everything running as it should, day in, day out.
