During lockdown, we were approached by Moskito with the lighting design and layout already in place. Our role was to supply, install, and programme the full technical system, bringing the creative vision to life with a custom lighting installation that blends art and technology.
Our team installed a full ambient lighting system using MADRIX 5 software for real-time pixel effects and seamless lighting control across two unique spaces.
The result is a vibrant and responsive lighting system that enhances every feature of the venue’s distinctive design.

Design, Control & Integration
The installation spans more than 100 universes of Art-Net and four DMX universes, managed through MADRIX lighting control for precision and creativity.
Our lighting installation elevates every feature:
- Custom barback bottle shelves and illuminated suspended glass shelving
- Seating booth lighting with soft ambient glow
- Ceiling and wall pixel lighting, highlighting the circle art and wavy black mirrors
- Sound-reactive pixel bars, rebated into Venetian plastered walls for a clean architectural finish
Each element is linked through MADRIX 5 software, allowing smooth transitions, reactive visuals, and precise light programming synced to the music.
The Moskito system is also integrated with our remote management software, meaning we can monitor performance, update programming, and support the venue remotely at any time.
The Monkey Room’s private DJ booth and bar feature a dedicated reactive lighting setup, programmed to move in sync with the sound. Each scene shifts fluidly with the rhythm, creating an intimate, high-energy mood.
We integrated dynamic control over the mains lighting system using DMX Triac Dimmers and DMX Dimmers for the Buster & Punch Luminaires, working alongside MADRIX Ulitmate and DMX to unify both architectural and pixel lighting elements. This hybrid system gives staff flexible control, from subtle ambient scenes to high-energy club lighting effects.
