Why Interactive Pixel Lighting Matters
At envisio, we love pushing the boundaries of interactive lighting. Last week, our engineers unveiled a dynamic LED light box streamed live on TikTok, designed to showcase real-time interactivity across multiple platforms.
This project marks the start of some of our live interactive lighting events, which you’ll soon be able to explore on TikTok, Twitch, and our website. Each platform will offer unique ways to interact with our pixel LED technology.
Inside the LED Light Box Build
Our LED light box measures 1800mm x 1500mm and contains 6,048 individually addressed RGBW LEDs. That’s a total of 24,192 DMX channels, a massive 47.25 universes of dynamic control.
To drive the system, we used:
• MADRIX Professional Key sending sACN data
• Advatek E16-S controller for pixel mapping
• AKAI MIDI pad for local triggering
When streamed, interactivity becomes even more exciting. Viewers can trigger lighting effects simply by commenting numbers during the live stream. This feature transforms passive watching into real-time audience engagement.
We’ve designed the system to integrate seamlessly with DMX, Art-Net, sACN, and DALI protocols. This flexibility ensures it can adapt to both creative installations and architectural lighting projects.
Real-World Applications of Interactive Pixel Lighting
