At envisio, we take pride in solving challenges with innovative solutions, and our custom 3D printing is a prime example. Whether a project requires a bespoke part, housing or tool, we step in to create what’s needed. We have designed and printed unique 3D components for various projects, along with items for our office and tools for our engineers. Our proactive approach ensures we deliver tailored solutions that meet and surpass project demands.
Our Custom 3D printing capabilities have revolutionised our business and projects. During a recent installation for Acklam Car Centre, we designed custom end caps for aluminium profiles designed to match the rest of the interior. These ensured both functionality by protecting connections and provided sleek aesthetics for a flawless, neat finish. Once the client and main contractor had seen these they requested we also design cable and wire covers for the ceiling to enable cables to pass through neatly from the fitting. These custom items highlight how our 3D printing enhances both precision and quality in our lighting installations and raise the bar for finishing touching on projects.

Another recent example is our Selfridges Christmas Windows project. We needed a solution to secure clear acrylic brackets to flexible neon. After experimenting with several methods, we designed custom clips to attach the brackets to the neon. These clips, printed in a clear material, were discreet enough to meet Selfridges’ high standards.
One product we offer to clients is our plug-and-play LED control boxes. To ensure components fit neatly within the compact design and wiring remains tidy, we custom print stand-off brackets for LTECH decoders, allowing connections to run underneath. In other control boxes we have printed covers for our pixel controls, again ensuring these aren’t damaged and bringing a clean look to our product.

Our commitment to customisation goes beyond functionality; it encompasses aesthetics and branding. With four 3D printers at our disposal, we can produce fixings in a range of colours to match a client’s brand palette. For those looking to leave a unique mark, we can incorporate logos or company names into the finished product. This personalisation enhances the visual appeal of our projects while reflecting each client’s individuality.
3D printing also helps us work smarter. To improve efficiency on-site, we developed tools like our custom WISKA tool, which tightens stuffing glands on WISKA boxes. This innovation solves the common issue of spanners struggling in tight spaces when two glands are side by side. We’ve also created portable soldering kits to keep equipment organised and accessible during site visits. These practical innovations will soon be available for purchase from our upcoming online store, empowering others to work more efficiently.

Of course, 3D printing also brings creativity and fun. Around the office, we’ve enjoyed experimenting with prints, creating everything from decorative desk items to Star Wars and superhero helmets. These projects let us explore the creative potential of 3D printing while adding personality to our workspace.
Our 3D printing service seamlessly blends functionality, creativity, and a customer-focused approach. Whether it’s a bespoke component for a high-profile project or a practical tool for on-site use, our goal remains the same: to deliver solutions that exceed expectations
